Add Watermark to Image

Add visible or hidden watermarks

Choose one image, add a visible text watermark or embed hidden text into a PNG copy, then preview and download the generated result.

Your selected image, watermark text, and generated PNG copy stay in this browser and are not uploaded.

Two watermark modes, both local

Visible watermarks are drawn onto a new PNG copy with configurable position, opacity, color, size, rotation, and tiling.

Hidden watermarks are embedded into PNG pixel bits and can be detected by this tool. They are intentionally scoped: compression, resizing, screenshots, or JPEG conversion can remove them.

Examples

Review copy

Add a visible “Confidential” or client name watermark before sharing an image for review.

Local ownership marker

Embed a short hidden marker into a PNG copy and verify that this tool can read it back.

Add Watermark to Image FAQ

Are images uploaded to add a watermark?

No. The selected image is decoded and rendered locally in your browser.

Is the hidden watermark invisible?

It is embedded in low-order PNG pixel bits and is not intended to be visible. It is not a robust forensic watermark and can be removed by common transformations.

Why is the output a PNG?

PNG keeps the visible rendering predictable and preserves the hidden pixel-bit watermark better than lossy formats.
