Browser-local file processing
Browser File Tools is designed so selected files are processed in your browser. Your files are not uploaded to Browser File Tools servers for compression, resizing, conversion, EXIF removal, or image-to-PDF creation.
Processed results are created in your browser and downloaded to your device only when you choose to save them. Keep your own originals, because closing or refreshing the page can clear in-browser working files.
Analytics and error monitoring
The service can include privacy-focused analytics and error monitoring. These integrations stay disabled unless the required environment variables are configured.
When enabled, analytics and monitoring help us understand whether pages load, tools are discoverable, and errors occur. They are not used to inspect the files you choose in the browser.
- Plausible Analytics may collect aggregated page-view data such as page URL, referrer, browser, operating system, device type, country-level location, and visit timing.
- Sentry may collect error details such as stack traces, runtime context, browser or device information, and the page URL where an error happened.
- Selected file contents, output files, and intentionally private document data should not be sent to analytics or monitoring services by the browser tools.
Accounts, storage, and advertising
Browser File Tools does not provide user accounts, payments, server-side file storage, or advertising. If advertising such as AdSense is added, this policy should be reviewed before it goes live.
Contact and updates
